Can You Help?

Clock from a Fiat BR20 'Cicogna'

The Martlesham Heath Control Tower Museum has in its collection an oddly heavy (for an aircraft) clock from a Fiat BR20 bomber.  The clock was recovered from an Italian Air Force aircraft that crashed in Rendlesham Forest on 11 November 1940, during a raid by the Italian Air Force on the port of Harwich. This was the ONLY Italian bomber that crashed on mainland Britain.

The clock is named Zenith and is an 8-day clock made by A. Cairelli of Roma. The coloured markers around the perimeter are spring-loaded and removable. They have a small indentation to enable a finger-nail to assist removal of the segment.

The MHAS is interested to know more details about this clock and it use, particularly the removable segments. Can you help?

Unknown lady

On the Memory Lane page, there are some photographs which include a lovely, laughing young lady. Do you know who she is? Is it you? Can you help?

Unidentified Flying Object (a jet)

On the Sound Files page is a recording of an unidentified jet. Can you positively identify the aircraft?
