Capt. Robert (Bob) Eugene Barnhart of the 360th Fighter Sqdn.

The name on the plane is that of his wife. The picture is a pretty good likeness, as you can see from her photo on this web site. There is also a very interesting video'd interview with Bob on that page, too.
