Historic barracks on BT's Adastral Park at Martlesham Heath look doomed after planners suggested they would view favourably a new cafeteria on the site.  The plans have angered preservationists, who that Suffolk will soon have "no history left."

Emma Littlejohn, a spokeswoman for BT, said "...we will be looking to demolish some of the former RAF buildings... ...we have been working closely with the Martlesham Heath Society."

Gordon Kinsey, president of the Society, said "That is the first I have heard of it..."
