Founder Member receives Community Pioneer Award Story based on Evening Star article, Photo by Evening Star photographer (cropped version) Bob Dunnett, founder of the Martlesham Heath Control Tower Museum has been awarded a Community Pioneer work for his tenacity in keeping momentum up and bringing the museum into existence.
Against the odds, and the disbelievers, Bob Dunnett succeeding in opening the Control Tower Museum. Along the way, he succeeded in winning grant funding and donations that were essential to restore the tower, and continue to be essential to keep the museum running. The letter nominating Bob for the award said that Robert is a perfectionist and with a small band of helpers has created a museum that will hopefully last for ever. The award was presented to Bob by Paul Clement, Directory of the Ipswich Partnership. |
