Welcome to Our Website
A key part of our Remembrance of those who gave so much is the Drum Head Service at the Museum. We welcomed the children from Gorseland Primary school to join the ceremony as part of our ongoing Youth Education programme to ensure current and future generations continue to be involved in both remembering and celebrating the sacrifices of the past.
As well as laying a wreath and performing a reading, they immaculately presented themselves during the last post and two minutes silence.
The Drum head service is held every year on the 11th November at the Museum and is dedicated to the remembrance of the Roll of Honour for all the service personnel from the Royal Air Force and the United States Army Air Forces, who lost their lives in service at RAF Martlesham heath from 1917 to 1963.
If you would like your School or Organisation to visit the Museum and become involved with our rich heritage of Aviation, science and technology then please contact us at www.mhas.org.uk.
