Welcome to Our Website
Some of you may know that there's an old pump house near the quarry off the A1214 Main Road in Kesgrave with historical connections to Martlesham airfield during the Second World War. On the side of the pump house is an image of St Francis that was originally painted by a convalescing American Airman in 1944 stationed at Martlesham. Over the years, the painting has naturally faded, but thanks to the enthusiasm and support of John Fenton (who owns the land on which it sits and whose family owns / runs the Kiln Farm Nursery), the painting has recently been refreshed to its former glory as a reminder of past times. Our thanks to John for his support in keeping this small piece of history alive and keeping us informed of it's completion.
