On Friday 15th August 2025, the Bawdsey Radar Trust held a day long event at 'BT's Adastral Park' Martlesham Heath.  The title for the day was 'Radar In The Air'.

The Martlesham Heath Aviation Society were invited to attend & our stand depicted the part that Martlesham Heath played in the development of radar and Bawdsey Radar Station.
Along with the Orford Ness International Research Group (IRGON) and Bawdsey Radar, our table at the event focussed on the RAF Anson which was the first aircraft to trial airbourne radar, flying from Martlesham Heath. We took along our model, which had been donated to us by Wally Mutimer's family. The attached photo shows Ian Lisseman, John Howarth and Allan Powell (our previous Secretary and author of a booklet on the 1st flight of airborne radar, which is on sale at the museum), enjoying the day, meeting various members of the public that attended the event.
