2026 will soon be upon us, and MHAS is pleased to welcome back Chris Turland to the Community Centre on Friday 2nd January to tell us about the story of the key roles performed by women in aviation and its development during the 20th Century. Please come along and join us!
Friday 6th February 2026
February sees us welcome Kara Neave to bring us the little known story of the heroic nurses who flew to help the wounded after D-Day. As always, we're looking forward to hearing a fascinating talk. Please come and join us!
Friday 6th March 2026
March sees us welcoming Don Mobley to give us two talks on fascinating subjects! Drones have become an increasingly visible part of civilian and military life and Don explores their dramatic evolution and a glimpse into the future. He then will give us an insight into the founding of NASA, the geopolitical and technological environment and the impact on Society during the Space Race of the 50's and 60's - as always we're sure it will be a great evening. Come and join us!
Saturday 11th April 2026 2:30pm
MHAS presents another film event showcasing two really interesting subjects: The first takes us back to World War 2, "We Fought Them In Gunboats" is brought to us by Tim Curtis, the renowned TV & Film maker and the second takes us back to the Cold War era and the multitude of operational people, places and elements which formed the "Cold War - East Anglia The Front Line". This is a ticket only event, so see the details on how to get your tickets on the poster below. We look forward to you joining us!
Friday 1st May 2026
Come and join us for the annual review of the Martlesham Heath Aviation Society. As well as covering what's been happening and our plans for the Society and Museum, we hope to provide an aviation related quiz and short film show. It's free entry and we look forward to your company!
Friday 5th June 2026
June sees us welcome Richard Green, whose name may be familiar to some of our regulars, due to his close affinity with Martlesham Heath. Rich will be giving us a personal insight into his 17 year career as a Royal Air Force Engineering Officer, where he is currently Squadron Leader in UK Space Command. We thank Rich for taking the time to come along to see us and look forward to hearing what we're sure will be a fascinating talk!
