Meetings are held in the Community Hall, Felixstowe Road, Martlesham Heath. IP12 4PB on the first Friday of each month.

Meetings start at 7.30pm with a tea/coffee break at half time.

Admission £3 for members and £5 for non-members. Pay at the door

    Saturday 11th April 2026 2:30pm

    MHAS presents another film event showcasing two really interesting subjects: The first takes us back to World War 2, "We Fought Them In Gunboats" is brought to us by Tim Curtis, the renowned TV & Film maker and the second takes us back to the Cold War era and the multitude of operational people, places and elements which formed the "Cold War - East Anglia The Front Line".   • MHAS Annual Meeting

    Come and join us for the annual review of the Martlesham Heath Aviation Society. As well as covering what's been happening and our plans for the Society and Museum, we hope to provide an aviation related quiz and short film show. It's free entry and we look forward to your company!

  • SL Richard Green - "Serving the RAF in the Twilight of the Peace Dividend - My Perspective on New Threats & Modern Challenges"

    June sees us welcome Richard Green, whose name may be familiar to some of our regulars, due to his close affinity with Martlesham Heath. Rich will be giving us a personal insight into his 17 year career as a Royal Air Force Engineering Officer, where he is currently Squadron Leader in UK Space Command. We thank Rich for taking the time to come along to see us and look forward to hearing what we're sure will be a fascinating talk!

  • James Blackwood - "RAF Photo Reconnaissance in World Wars 2"

    Our next talk see James Blackwood presenting a key aspect of World War 2 military aviation history. Namely the key role and contribution, often at great danger to the pilots and crew, of the RAF Photo Reconnaissance aircraft. This was a key factor in many of the key and decisive military strategies and tactics as part of the overall intelligence picture throughout the wartime period. We welcome James for what will be a fascinating talk. Please come along and join us!
